CACI is looking for a cleared Technical Writer/Editor to add to its Product Assurance team in Albuquerque, NM. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and an independent thinker needing minimal oversight.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Collaborates with representatives from various functional groups assigned to the product or program, including, but not limited to, Senior Management, Project Management, Product Assurance, Technical Publications, Technical Services, Operations and Customer Support, and Finance.

  • Review design, manufacturing, and testing documentation to include Statement of Work and other contractual requirements.

  • Ensures contract compliance by reviewing SOW, Govt. requirements, and last revisions of technical publications.

  • Reviews Work Orders (WOs) assigned to Quality Assurance, specifically, editor and data manager. Reports status updates, and completion of assignments.

  • Completes editing tasking while continuing to provide flexibility within our processes to not impact delivery schedules.

  • May be requested to attend project meetings for better process understanding.

  • Proficient at understanding of Technical Orders and MIL-STDs.

More About the Role:

You will be responsible for proofreading, editing, and formatting technical documentation including design specifications, manuals, plans, procedures, reports, and proposals. Edits and formats information for consumption through various media channels including printed materials, email, SharePoint, and other electronic access points. Gathers information, interviews subject matter experts, and conducts other research to convey technical material concisely and effectively.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • An Active DOD Secret Clearance

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 3 years of work-related experience; OR Associate Degree with related coursework and five years of work-related experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Technical editing

  • Proficient at reading technical documentation.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Thorough understanding of, or the ability to quickly learn the company’s quality management system.

  • Ability to learn and navigate online systems and databases with relative ease."

  • Create and present measurements of performance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • 10 years or related experience

  • Prior technical editing position

  • Familiarity with the use and application of style guides

  • Familiarity with Aerospace Standard AS9100

  • Experience using Microsoft Access databases

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$53,200 - $111,600
