Metis Technology Solutions, Inc Staff Accountant in Albuquerque, New Mexico
Position Overview:
As an Aerospace and Defense Staff Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks related to finance and government contracts. You will support our finance team in performing various analysis and quality controls for Government deliverables. The role is cross-functional between finance and government contracting departments. The primary focus for this role will be within the finance department performing corporate finance functions. Responsibilities with includes, but not limited to, supporting data entry by recording financials transactions accurately, support of records management of financial transactions, and supporting the internal review of posted transactions within the accounting system.
Requirements:
BA/BS, or near completion (preferably in the area of business, finance, accounting, or similar degree field)
Desire and ability to work both independently, and part of a team and be collaborative
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel
Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis tasks as assigned
Preferred
Knowledge of the aerospace and dense industry accounting practices
Demonstrated Deltek Costpoint experience would separate a potential candidate.

Work location is onsite at the Albuquerque, NM office
