About Our Team:

We support a wide array of explosives testing with an emphasis on high speed data and video acquisition as well as flash radiography. We specialize in cradle to grave explosive test design to inform objectives, novel explosive and pyrotechnic device development testing, evaluating vulnerabilities in hostile energetic environments, explosive dispersal aerosol testing, and blast and fragment mitigation technologies. Department personnel support the development of technology and the characterization of energetic events for projects in the national interest. Tests can range from small energetic assemblies to highly instrumented high fidelity system assessments.

We specialize in the design of energetic devices, experimental validation of energetic device performance, interior and external explosive effects, and advanced/optical diagnostic research. We develop a variety of explosive-based solutions focusing on shaped charge design, dispersed aerosol sampling, internal/terminal hostile environments, as well as custom and optimization of explosive systems for novel applications.

Posting Duration:

This posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, including the ‘posting date’. Sandia reserves the right to extend the posting date at any time.

Security Clearance:
