Intel NMDMO Production Engineer in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Description

The Production Engineer role is tasked with benchmarking, developing, implementing and continuously improving operational standards and business processes and systems to enable consistent high velocity output in a low volume high product mix manufacturing environment. This would include identifying and evaluating alternatives or contingency plans to allow us to be an agile organization. The Captain of Ship (COS) and Remote Operation Center (ROC) Group Leaders (GLs) are key customers for the Production Engineer - strong, effective partnerships are critical here. This role also acts as an integrator / liaison between Production and other departments across the factory, such as Planning, Automation, Process Engineering, Integration and Industrial Engineering (IE) to develop key operational strategies, standards, business processes and systems to manage factory Work in Progress (WIP) flow including development and steady-state operations. The Production Engineer will be the site owner for certain operational business systems/capabilities - to be balanced across the team. This role also represents F11X Production in VF (Virtual Factory) improvement teams and forums to represent our business needs and to help implement Best Known Methods (BKMs) and new capabilities.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:

Full time onsite required during training, estimated 6 months. After training: hybrid "work from home" to be defined by manager and employee but continued onsite will be required.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's or MS degree in Technical, Engineering, Operations Management or related field or 5+ years of semiconductor experience with an Associate Degree or Military Education.

  • Must have 4+ years of experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing in either Engineering or Manufacturing.

  • 2+ years' or previous leadership, management experience required.

  • 3+ years' experience in a Manufacturing Industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a semiconductor industry related environment. Understanding of semiconductor process flow technology and theory of constraint management.

  • Experience with manufacturing supervisory and/or management experience in a High-Volume Manufacturing or Technology Development environment.

  • 3+ years of semiconductor experience. Strong technical/engineering background.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
