We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Albany, Oregon. This role will involve assisting a non-profit/governmental agency with year-end and audit preparation, accounts receivable and billing tasks for a major grant project, and helping set up standard operating procedures on the NetSuite platform.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with year-end and audit preparation

• Handle accounts receivable tasks and billing for a major grant project

• Provide support in setting up standard operating procedures on the NetSuite (Oracle) platform

• Liaise with multiple non-profit organizations as part of the job function

• Support the team in executing general ledger tasks, bank reconciliations and journal entries

• Contribute to the month-end close process

• Offer assistance when staff members are on leave

• Ensure all financial procedures and practices are in compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated skills in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management and processes

• Experience in making Journal Entries

• Proficient in performing Month End Close operations

• Knowledge and experience in using NetSuite software

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills

• Good problem-solving abilities.
