The GOT-IT site will inform you if your title requires special qualifications for 52.6 or 70.1 transfer as detailed above. Duties Description:The Department of State’s Bureau of Human Resources Management is responsible for a full range of human resources management activities in support of a diverse mix of statewide programs. Successful candidates must work effectively as part of a team in addressing human resource management issues.The Human Resources Specialist 2 duties in the Bureau of Human Resources Management will include but are not limited to the following: •Participate in the examination and development process with control agencies and other department staff, as needed.•Work with Divisions to provide assistance concerning appointments, promotions, and transfers.•Prepare classification requests while working with Civil Service and Division staff as needed.•Train, evaluate, mentor, supervise, and lead staff to provide guidance and support regarding recruitment, classification, and examination requests.•Prepare routine HR reports and correspondence with Executive, Division Managers, Customers, etc.•Complete/review position recruitment process including but not limited to preparing and posting job vacancies, reviewing applicant results and determining eligibility, canvass appropriate eligible lists, and review hiring packets.•Work with Divisions to identify staffing needs and solutions for hard-to-fill positions.•Participate in other special projects, as assigned.Additional Comments:The Department of State is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
