Minimum Qualifications Three to five years experience in the following in any of the following:Performing application deployments utilizing TerraformManaging cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as CodeAdministering Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server, including pipeline building, modifying, and running deploymentsUtilizing cloud environments, preferably AzureUtilizing Kubernetes and/or docker containersUtilizing query languages such as SQL or KQLThe following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated: - Associate’s degree and four years of experience- Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and three years of experience- Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience- Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and two years of experience- Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
Duties Description Under the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 4, SG- 25, within the Labor, Workforce and Education Portfolio (LWE), Business Solutions Burau, under the Chief Technology Office, supporting the Department of Labor (DOL) the Project Assistants, SG-NS, will function as a lead developer responsible for all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle for systems supporting DOL business needs and applications. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:• Provide operational support and facilitate DevOps developers with their deployments and management of Azure and on-premise platform environments. They will need to be proficient with the following tools and technologies: .NET, NodeJS, NPM, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, , UC4, administration of a Client/Server environment, GIT, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Power Shell;• Triage, resolve and communicate status of production issues and analyze system enhancement requests;• Provide technical expertise and oversight for WCB applications/forms including assistance with system analysis and developing system specifications; • Evaluate proposed technical solutions for their ability to meet operational requirements;• Performing all supervisory responsibilities and ability to mentor and facilitate the personal growth of subordinates.
