JOB TITLE: Part-Time Shelter Day Worker/Floater for the Summer
MUSTS: Experience working with our clientele (eg, people experiencing homelessness, people in crisis) not necessary but preferred. Ability to cook large amounts of food and clean. Ability to engage in physical labor. Flexibility of schedule. Willingness to learn new skills and help where it is needed. Required to work at least one weekend day.
SKILLS: Cooking, Cleaning, working with clientele. Need Mature, dynamic, compassionate people that are able to deal with all types of clients. Must be able to work weekends. Must be at least 21+. DUTIES: The shelter day worker/floater will be offered 20 hours/week with the ability to pick up more shifts as they come open. This position entails assisting shelter staff with day to day tasks such as cleaning and cook Cook meals for 20-70 people, maintain food safety standards. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the shelter. Interact with clients professionally. Work on a team and communicate clearly with other shelter staff.
WAGES: $15.00
