Opportunity Overview
The Teradyne IT BMO is looking for an experienced Software QA Engineer. As a key contributor to our QA team, your experience and skill set will play a key role in our efforts to design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests. You should have a strong technical background and be able to streamline all testing activities. You should be detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical and communication skills as well as troubleshooting abilities.
*This is a 9 - 12 months - Temporary position
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
Define testing strategies for product verification and validation, create and maintain test plans
Participate in internal and cross functional reviews of requirements and design specifications
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs
Review, analyze, and summarize test results. Report anomalies into defect tracking system, communicate status to stakeholders, suggest solutions to identified product problems
Manage multiple tasks and align those tasks with the company's business priorities
Enforce quality standards during development lifecycle, contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and practices
Support and train other members of the QA team

Minimum job requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
English Proficiency.
Minimum 4 years of experience in
Knowledge of quality assurance, testing process, methodologies, structure, and documentation
Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing
Experience with API testing (e.g. Postman)
Practical knowledge related to Performance testing and tools like JMeter
Familiarity with test and bug management systems (e.g. Test and MS 365, Jira, Zephyr)
Understanding of Jenkins or a similar automation server.
Experience with database testing; knowledge of SQL query language
Working knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python, and HTML) and automation testing tools (Playwright, TestNJ, Selenium, etc.)
