CHILDRENS HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER OF AKRON Senior Financial Analyst Provider Business Planning in Akron, Ohio

Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week Monday - Friday, 8a.m. to 5p.m. Remote Applicant must reside in OH or PA Summary: Provides financial support to assist Leaders to develop and implement strategic business plans focused on the growth and development of all of our clinical and academic programs. Strives to meet Department goals through internal and external collaboration, with active participation on appropriate committees. Collaborates with department directors, managers, staff, medical staff, and administrative team members. Responsibilities: Create business and program development plans that support and advance and hospital strategic initiatives and provide support for implementation. Coordinate and assist with practice valuations, pro forma financial projections, and evaluations of staffing levels. Assist with Performance Management / Variance Reporting to monitor performance to business plans. Monitor changes in federal and state law related to reimbursement and the impact to the organization. Provides support in facilitating and assisting managers in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets with regards to incorporating business plan assumptions. Understand Service Line reporting and Cost Accounting and provide appropriate reports to management. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Proven ability in financial analysis and accounting methodologies is required. Strong knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle is required. Experience with Physician Practices preferred. Education and Experience 1. Education: Masters degree in business or healthcare administration preferred 2. Licensure: 3. Certification: CPA in lieu of Masters 4. Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 5 years with a Masters degree or 8 years of relevant financial analysis 5.
