CHILDRENS HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER OF AKRON Respiratory Therapist: $10,000 sign-on bonus available in Akron, Ohio
Full-Time, 36 Hours/Week Night Shift Onsite $10,000 sign-on bonus available (taxable) Summary: The Respiratory Therapist assess, plans, implements, evaluates, and directs care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients. Responsibilities: Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and directs care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients Assesses the status and immediate airway needs of the critically ill neonate, pediatric, or adult patient in the intra-hospital transport, intensive care, and general care environment Demonstrates the knowledge an skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age. Participate in the education of ACH staff, patients, and parents Staff maybe temporarily assigned to an area throughout the ACH enterprise, based on patient needs requiring similar knowledge and skill. Other duties as required Other information: Technical Expertise 1.Experience in respiratory care is required 2.Experience working with all levels within an organization is required 3.Experience in healthcare is preferred 4.Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required Education and Experience 1. Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Care 2. Registered Respiratory Therapist credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care is required 3. License: Current OH Respiratory Care Professional license is required 4. Certification: Current Health Care Provider BLS training is required; NRP, PALS, ACLS, and STABLE certification is required within 1 year of hire and must be maintained throughout employment 5. Years of relevant experience: new graduates 6.
