Press Brake Set Up Operator
Job Description
The Press Brake Set Up Operator will be responsible for forming materials as per order requirements to meet scheduled demands. This role requires setting up and operating hydraulic press brakes, understanding dimensions, tolerances, and angles of formed parts, and verifying all parts are correctly formed to specifications.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate hydraulic press brake for established work.
Understand dimensions, tolerances, and angles of formed parts.
Calculate bend locations, appropriate tonnage, and tooling for each part being formed.
Verify all parts are present and correctly formed to specifications; notify management if parts are missing or incorrect.
Organize work area before and after processing parts, stacking completed parts properly on tables or pallets.
Keep the production board updated with the status of orders in the Press Brake department.
Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust the machine within capabilities; report all machine malfunctions to management.
Essential Skills
1+ years of Press Brake experience.
Ability to understand basic measurements.
Familiarity with blueprints.

Work Environment
This is a typical job shop environment that can get hot, dirty, and not the best lit. You will be working around galvanized steel, so you must be comfortable in an industrial setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
