Here’s the scoop - Summary
The Inventory and Material Replenishment Manager is responsible for leading a team of Materials Coordinators and overseeing the efficient management and replenishment of inventory and materials across the supply chain. This role involves monitoring stock levels, analyzing inventory data, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that material supply meets production or operational requirements while avoiding overstock and stockouts. The ideal candidate will understand inventory control, demand forecasting, and supply chain processes.
The successful candidate will work out of our state-of-the-art Kitchen in Acheson, Alberta and report to the Global Director of Distribution and Logistics.

Inventory Management: Manage and track inventory levels, ensuring materials are available to meet demand without creating excess stock.
Material Replenishment: Develop and implement strategies for timely material replenishment based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and historical trends.
Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Forecasting & Demand Planning: Analyze historical sales and inventory data to forecast future demand, adjusting inventory levels as necessary.
Order Management: Oversee the ordering process for raw materials, finished goods, and other inventory items to ensure timely order placement and avoid stockouts.
Reporting & Analysis: Generate and present reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, order status, and material replenishment. Identify trends and provide actionable insights to improve processes.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess inventory and replenishment processes for efficiency, proposing and implementing improvements to optimize costs and inventory turnover.
Stock Audits: Lead and participate in periodic inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flows.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to inventory control and materials management.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Address supply chain disruptions or inventory-related issues promptly to minimize operational impact.
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CIPS) are a plus.
8+ years of experience in inventory management, material replenishment, or supply chain operations. Experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry is an asset.
3-5 years of experience leading teams and empowering frontline accountability of actions, roles and responsibilities.
Strong proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., M3, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels based on data insights.
Strong capacity to analyze inventory reports and make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with supply chain management principles and best practices.
Travel: Ability to travel for 2-3 weeks per quarter.
