TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES Juvenile Probation Officer - Taylor County in Abilene, Texas
Taylor County Juvenile Detention Center is seeking qualified applicants for a Juvenile Probation Officer.
Requirements:
- Applicantsmusthave acquired a BachelorsDegree conferred by a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Texas Higher Education Board
- Have either one yearof graduate study at a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Boardin criminology, corrections, counseling, law, social work, psychology, sociology, or other field of instruction approved by TJJD or qualifying work experience as outlined in TAC 344.210.
- Must be able to be certified as a Juvenile Probation Officer within 6 months of employment. Must pass a criminal background check, must have a valid Texas Drivers License, must pass a TDFPS background check upon hire and annually, and must pass a PREA background check. Allapplications must include a college transcript.
Starting Salary:
- $55,195.00annually+ benefits
