Summary About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Deputy Product Manager for assigned Acquisition system and/or related mission equipment. This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule. Responsibilities Manages all aspects of acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment, and product improvements with a multi-million-dollar annual budget. Oversee all phases of the Project Objective Memorandum (POM) to direct the direct life cycle documentation for assigned projects and funds. Keeps informed of current developments in the technical field and maintains oversight of the integration of the project system with other systems. Based on analysis and evaluation of current programs schedule, budget, and performance objectives develops a comprehensive time-phased and budgeted program designed to meet mission requirements. Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties. Supports an understanding of the Command's Affirmative Action/EEO Program; ensuring EEO principles are reflected in all aspects of personnel management. Maintains continuous liaison and monitors collaborative planning with pertinent military users, DA staff and other agencies to render advice and counsel on assigned management activities. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing cost, schedule, performance and supportability of projects, programs and products as they transition through the acquisition life cycle; 2) Identifying and resolving complex issues related to the functional resources for an organization; and 3) Managing an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to ensure all objectives are met within an acquisition program.
