Responsibilities

Weatherford have a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Asset Manager to join the Drilling Services team in Aberdeen. The Geozone Technical Asset Manager is responsible for controlling Drilling Services EUA assets and inventory to ensure they are distributed across the Geozone asp er operations needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of GeoZone / Global stranded Asset & Inventory process.

  • Develop, implement, and manage the standardization of asset traceability in accordance with internal product line requirements and external governing standards, resulting in improved asset management, utilization and asset lifespan.

  • Prioritize, schedule and delegate responsibilities and work assignments to help achieve established goals in an efficient manner.

  • Manage and coordinate AFE and CAPEX implementation across the GeoZone.

  • Manage asset needs and close collaboration with Drilling Services Global asset management to meet GZ needs.

  • Manage communication with EUA OMs and R&M teams to ensure asset delivery plan is met and meet costumer need / deliveries.

  • Plan and forecast asset requirement using RJM database support.

  • Ensure that GeoZone Drilling Services fixed assets register agree with inventory records, physically as well as the books.

  • Understand all relevant modules of JDE, and demonstrate the ability to use ERP and spreadsheets in managing the Weatherford Asset and Inventory processes.

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and use the other tools Weatherford use to manage supply chain including WBAMS, BI, and Essbase, MyAdvisor etc.

  • Manage and control outside repairs with external vendors to meet asset deployments forecasts (Magnus parts, CVAs, Sleeve stabilizers redress, etc).

  • Responsible for Asset Retirement process completion when applicable.

    VISION & LEADERSHIP

  • Collaborate with leadership to promote the continual quality improvement strategy of the company to meet strategic business objectives and profitability.

  • Set and monitor targets for Key Performance Indicators and define safety and service quality improvement action plans geared to enhance safety, quality and efficiency both at the region, well site and field locations.

  • Develop short and long range plans with the country/area leadership to promote and meet the service delivery requirements for the client.

    SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

  • Drive continuous quality improvement systems across all areas. Fostering an environment where innovation, entrepreneurship and courage are valued and encouraged.

  • Insight into overall customer service delivery projects and review with internal stakeholders and client to ensure seamless delivery of services.

  • Coordinate movement of equipment and people within the country/area and also be the point of contact when equipment and people are needed from/by other locations.

  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to provide reporting and analysis that will facilitate business improvement and operational efficiency.

    TEAM BUILDING & MENTORING

  • Promote teamwork through open communication to ensure correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements are implemented and followed.

  • Participate in the development and delivery of training courses to personnel.

  • Lead the way on people management to drive a motivated disciplined and productive workforce. This includes effective staff leadership, performance management by setting objectives and driving appraisals and communication.

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years’ experience in inventory or asset management in the oil and gas industry.

  • Operational experience in drilling services is preferred.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Previous ERP experience – JD Edwards, SAP etc.

  • Good computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel would be beneficial.

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Should be able to work closely and collaboratively with fellow employees.

  • Adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Ability to travel when required.
