Veterans Inc. Facilities Coordinator in 69 Grove St, United States

With the belief that they were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us, Veterans Inc., the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England is seeking to fill the Facilities Coordinator position and become a valued member of the Veterans Inc. team!

This position is under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, and will assist the Facilities and Maintenance Team in completion of all maintenance tasks and the upkeep of the facilities, buildings, furnishings and properties for all programs throughout New England.

This position is based out of our Worcester, MA Headquarters, and requires travel to other programs throughout New England.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:

  • Perform scheduled building improvements as identified by assigned supervisor and arrange for ongoing facility maintenance & repairs as requested.

  • Work with the supervisor to develop plans to address the facility needs of all Veterans Inc housing programs.

  • Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs.

  • Assist with upkeep and cleanliness of interior and exterior of company buildings.

  • Assist with snow blowing, shoveling, and salting around buildings.

  • Completes facility renovations and special projects. Assists in preparation of plans and follows set schedule for facilities projects. Monitors progress on facilities maintenance projects and reports to the supervisor on progress.

  • Perform repairs and/or installs company machinery, equipment, or appliances.

  • Provides information on facility maintenance problems and cyclical replacement items.

  • Performs manual labor and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of agency building facilities and grounds which include, but are not limited to, construction and repair of electrical, mechanical, masonry, carpentry, HVAC, the coordination, and preventive maintenance.

  • Responsible for evaluating and handling building emergencies when they arise.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Trade school or high school diploma graduate.

  • 2-5 years of general building repair and maintenance experience.

  • Certificate in a trade program is preferred.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Must be available to work some weekend days

  • Must be able to pass a CORI Background records check.

  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
