Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA is seeking to hire a full-time, FLSA-exempt Facilities Manager to handle maintenance-related issues and upkeep to ensure that our country club building runs smoothly. Our Facilities Maintenance Manager earns a competitive annual salary up to $65,000 - $70,000 based on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FACILITIES MAINTENANCE MANAGER

As our Facilities Manager, you will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems and equipment. This position will be 'hands-on,' and the preferred candidate will be willing and able to jump in to help the team when it is necessary.

You will also hire, train, and supervise the building maintenance staff. Your great leadership brings out the best in your team. You inspire them to provide excellent service to our members and take real pride in the appearance of our building. It is rewarding to enter our nice country club and see the results of your hard work!

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

  • Extensive experience maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen equipment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.

  • Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.

  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

    Education and Experience:

  • Previous private club or hotel experience REQUIRED.

  • HVAC Licensing & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • At least ten years of maintenance experience is required.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.

  • Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

    WORK SCHEDULE

    This is a full-time, salaried exempt position (not eligible for overtime). The work schedule will include some nights, weekends, and holidays based on the Club's operational needs. This position will also be on call for after hours emergencies.
