You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. Experience in nuclear or chemical facility as a chemical engineer, process engineer, or technician Performs chemical engineering assignments typically in areas of process design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems. Experience interfacing with support teams (Safety, Engineering, Procurement, Project Managers, and Craft Supervision) and able to analyze and mitigate risks related to safety and project execution. As a Chemical Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include: Collaborate closely with a team of skilled Engineers supporting new designs and adapting/improving existing processes. Responsibilities include: Develop/modify manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality of finished products. Monitor and test processes and products to optimize processes and product quality. Review and/or develop safety procedures for employees working with hazardous materials. Design, plan and implement the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and streamline installation. This is a full-time, office-based position with full benefits. After initial training, optional hybrid schedules are available. This position requires occasional travel.
