Urban Tailz has provided daily dog walking, cat sitting, and pet sitting services on the North Side of Chicago since 2000, providing over 750,000 visits to thousands of happy pets. We are one of the oldest and highest-rated pet care companies in town and are looking for passionate animal lovers to join our organization.
Pay is structured on a per-visit basis, equivalent to a competitive rate near $17.50 per hour. Additionally, we have excellent benefits:

Job Description:
We are looking for a pet lover interested in dog walking with availability weekdays (Monday - Friday) from 10am-4pm. Most visits last for 30 minutes with each walker doing 6-10 visits per day. It's a fun job that allows you to play with a bunch of adorable dogs and explore our wonderful city! For additional hours, cat sitting as well as morning, evening and weekend dog walking opportunities are also available.
Responsibilities include:
Walking and pet sitting in designated neighborhoods between Monday through Friday midday hours (approximately 10am - 4pm)
Ensuring the safety and well-being of each dog in your care.
Providing exceptional customer service to clients through clear and timely communication.
Adhering to established walking routes and schedules
Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards during walks
What we are looking for:
Must be an animal nut! The type who will stop every stranger on the street just to say hi to their dogs!
Must be available Monday through Friday 10am to 4pm.
Must have a bike or car to get around.
Must be a good communicator.
Preferred neighborhood locations: Logan Square, Noble Square, Lakeview, & Lincoln Park
Demand varies throughout the week, month, and year. Our staff are employees, which means you are covered under our pet-sitting insurance and worker's comp.
